Matt’s Place

People experiencing economic hardship or social isolation are welcomed to enjoy the comforts of a home-cooked meal and friendship at Matt’s Place Community Meals program in Cheltenham and Chelsea.

Matt’s Place, open every Tuesday and Thursday, provides warm hospitality for those doing it tough or are isolated. Here a two-course hot meal and opportunity for connection and social interaction are provided. There are no special requirements to attend as a guest, just turn up!

*COVID Update: Matt’s Place Cheltenham and Chelsea will operate as a takeaway meals service only for the duration of the stage 4 lockdown.

Guests can arrive at Chelsea on Tuesdays from 10am-1pm and at Cheltenham on Thursdays from 11.30am-1pm. Mask wearing is compulsory.

Volunteer opportunities for individuals to contribute at Matt’s Place range from cooking, serving meals and just being available for a chat!
