Devastating earthquakes in Indonesia and a catastrophic glacial flood in Nepal have dominated the news. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder, what can we possibly do in the face of so much need?
The truth is, small acts have always been the best way to offer seeds of hope.
Over the months of August and September, we were able to respond in our own way to the six earthquakes across Indonesia, where 43,000 people have been displaced.
Thanks to your generosity, we sent vital funds which helped purchase and distribute water tanks, tarps and first aid kids — practical, life-saving support for families with nowhere else to turn.
When people are going through the hardest moments of their lives, one of the greatest comforts is simply knowing that someone cares.
Thanks to our faithful partners, donors, and committed volunteers, Bayside Community Care can continue to show up — standing with people in their toughest times, and offering not just aid, but hope.
