International Women’s Day is devoted to eliminating gender bias and promoting non-discriminatory employment practices.
This year’s global theme for IWD is “Inspire Inclusion”, which aims to forge a more inclusive world for women collectively.
On Wednesday, 6 March, Bayside Community Care is excited to host an International Women’s Day event featuring a stellar panel of female leaders.
Speakers include:
Beverley Simpson – Deal Desk Director – Australia & New Zealand for Microsoft – has over 20 years of large deal sales and management experience, Bev has been a top-performing individual contributor as well as manager and director of large IT organisations
Kate Reeves – Board Member – Impact – is a volunteer charity committed to making a difference for Victorian women and children fleeing extreme violence at home. Kate brings over 30 years of expertise in project management and continuous improvement in corporate and non-profit sectors. Kate’s own lived experience also brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the financial implications of divorce, separation and domestic violence on women.
Dr Julie McClellan – Deputy Director of General Practice Training, Victoria at The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Director and Principal GP – The Happy Baby Clinic – a GP clinic for mothers and babies based in Moorabbin. Julie’s special interests in medicine are infant sleep, settling, and perinatal mental health.
Brooke Matthews – Assistant Principal – Student Management and Wellbeing – Cheltenham Secondary College – has over 20 years of experience in the education sector. She has had various roles in that time, from teacher to school leader and assistant principal.
